Introducing the collaboration dinner coming to The Miller this November. Nick has invited Ben Prior to join him for a collaboration dinner and wine pairing on Friday 22 November 2019.
Nick and Ben met at The Good Food Guide Awards in 2016 when their restaurants went head to head for Readers’ Restaurant of the Year. While Nick came away with the title, the two stayed in touch, in part because Nick was familiar with Ben’s part of the world (coming from Plymouth originally) and it turned out that Nick’s dad often drank in Ben’s pub.
After many attempts to get together, Nick’s delighted to finally have a date in the diary: “Ben and I hit it off straight away at the Good Food Guide event and then discovered we have locations in common and the degrees of separation in our network were fewer than we thought. We’ve kept in touch and I’ve followed admiringly what Ben achieved at Ben’s Cornish Kitchen. It’s an honour to welcome him to The Miller and Mary and I are excited for the evening we’re all creating together.”
Ben is also involved in VinoSA importing South African wines while he seeks new restaurant premises. The collaboration dinner will Ben and Nick curate a 6-course dinner (3 courses each) with Mary pairing each course to one of Ben’s wines.
