Front of house is Mary’s domain and her vision for the bar was to create a comfortable and welcoming space for all visitors to enjoy. Mary’s refurbishment incorporates fireside armchairs and dining tables, and it’s a flexible space catering for drinkers, diners and functions. You won’t always find things in the same place as last time, depending on what’s booked. But at least you know you won’t be stealing anybody’s chair.
Our keg beers are well stored and we rotate them as and when we come across a good one. The most recent addition is the hand crafted lager, Freedom. Mary and bar supervisor Matt felt they needed a beer on tap that reflected the ‘not overly produced’ element of The Miller’s ethos. In the fridge, you’ll find a further array of lagers, some none or low alcohol varieties too.
Our wine list is personally tasted and selected by Mary from three reputable, local and long standing suppliers. There has to be more to a wine than a recognisable name, grape or vineyard for it to make it on The Miller list. And if you want to know more about any of our wines, Mary is certain to have a story for each. Plus, her and her team are qualified tasters, so it’s not just based on personal preference.
